The Environment Bureau (ENB) and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) launched the Energy Saving and Decarbonisation for All 2022 campaign on June 17 to encourage the community to achieve low-carbon transformation by saving energy and decarbonising. The ceremony is one of the celebration activities for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Jointly organised by the ENB and the EMSD, the Energy Saving and Decarbonisation for All 2022 campaign comprises the Energy Saving Charter 2022, the 4T Charter and competitions for organisations and students under the Energy Saving Championship Scheme.
Under the Energy Saving Championship Scheme, the Wise Save @ RCx Competition encourages organisations to reduce the overall electricity consumption of buildings through retro-commissioning, while the student competition seeks to inspire the creativity of young people in energy saving and application of renewable energy.
